AZCardinals.com's Darren Urban notedthat Fitzgerald gave running back Jeremiyah Love, the Cardinals' top pick in te 2026 NFL draft last month, a hug. Whether it was because Fitzgerald was recognizing the expectations Love carries or because he played for Notre Dame, where Fitzgerald's son will play in the fall, it is a good thing to hear about.

Could Fitzgerald begin to have a bit of a role with the organization now, or was this a one-time cameo? We will find out.
